Our Story
Bombshell Salon opened its doors on July 1, 2013 — the brainchild of owner and stylist Bobbi Volkmer, a decision she calls “the best I ever agreed to.” The name was born with her step-daughter, inspired by the empowering, classy pin-up icons of the 1940s.
Bombshell stands for something classy, traditional, trendy, edgy, and empowering all at once — a nod to a patriotic era of hard-working women, Vargas girls, and nose art on American bombers.
The Philosophy
Why zebra?
The décor — peanut butter, barn red, black, and zebra accents — was chosen to evoke strength, warmth, and a welcoming atmosphere for women and men alike. The zebra motif is intentional: no two zebras are the same, just as every client is unique.
Bobbi's business model is simple: treat her team the way she always wished she'd been treated, keep the atmosphere personal and friendly, and create a place where everybody knows your name. Happy stylists make happy clients — and that makes a happy salon.

Bobbi Volkmer
Owner · Stylist · Nail & Skin
A fully licensed cosmetologist in the industry for over 39 years, Bobbi moved to Loveland from Minnesota in 1981. She relishes creating new styles and color, has perfected acrylic nails since the '80s, and recently re-educated herself in skin care and microdermabrasion. Off the clock: horses, motorcycles, good Mexican food, and margaritas.
DeAnn Gardner
Stylist · Perm Specialist
A native Lovelander and stylist for 40+ years, DeAnn has watched the Thompson Valley transform. She specializes in cuts, all phases of styling, color, and the lost art of perming. Outside the salon she enjoys gardening, walking her dog Shelby, and fellowship.
Adrienne Stevenson
Stylist · Brazilian Blow Out
A Colorado native from the Western Slope, Adrienne has been a stylist for 16 years. She loves color and creating fresh, updated styles, has unique knowledge of ethnic hair, and is a certified technician of the Brazilian Blow Out System.
Autumn Smith
Stylist & Licensed Barber
A fully licensed cosmetologist AND barber — a rare combination. Autumn is a meticulous, confident colorist skilled in bleach and toning, vivids, highlights, lowlights, and color correction. She's been a stylist in Loveland for 7 years.
